Ryan Healy BLArch.
Managing director
As the Managing Director of Newforms Landscape Architecture and a founding director of the company, Ryan is responsible for overall direction, project programming, project administration, client liaison, and the future development of the practice. Ryan also maintains the role of Project Director for selected key projects. In this capacity Ryan overseas and coordinates sketch design, documentation review and contract administration.
Ryan has worked on a broad range of successful civic, commercial, industrial and residential projects, being responsible for all aspects of delivery from concept design through to implementation. Ryan’s role with these projects has given him significant experience in client consultation and stakeholder liaison as well as experience working with inter-disciplinary consultant teams and has allowed him to develop excellent communication and management skills.
As Managing Director of Newforms, a company which prides itself on cutting edge design and client satisfaction, Ryan has a very high standard of work ethic and expectation associated with all aspects of project management and delivery.
Newforms Landscape Architecture was founded by Directors Matt Huxtable BLArch.(hons) and Ryan Healy BLArch in 2001 and has acquired extensive knowledge designing and delivering a wide scope of projects, varying in type, size and scale. Newforms’ demonstrated experience includes: private gardens; roof and vertical gardens; edible gardens; public gardens; master planning; WSUD responses; play spaces; design guidelines; concept design; community consultation; multidiscipline team management; public art collaboration; high standard design detailing; custom urban furniture; construction documentation; administration including inspection for quality control and compliance during construction works and report writing.
Matt Huxtable BLArch. (hons)
director
One of two founding Directors of Newforms Landscape Architecture, Matt maintains the position of Project Director within the company and manages major projects from schematic design through to realisation. In this role, Matt maintains effective communication between Clients, Stakeholders and his teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Through extensive experience with landscape construction both on the ground and in a management role, Matt has developed a detailed understanding of construction techniques and requirements. This experience enables him to facilitate practical and creative solutions to construction detailing, as well as giving him a strong understanding of cost control and budget management. Matt has a keen interest in the opportunities for landscape architecture to demonstrate best practice in environmentally sustainable design initiatives in the built environment, whilst maintaining a high design aesthetic.
Matt is currently the President of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) WA Group, is involved on advisory panels with the Built Environment Design Professionals (BEDP) and the Australian Urban Design Research Centre (AUDRC) and has a keen motivation for the promotion of the profession as integral in planning and design of built spaces on all scales.
Matthew Gee
Senior Designer
Performing a key role within Newforms since 2005, Matthew plays a leading role in all aspects of the design process and is responsible for the production of accurate and concise construction documents. Matthew is an experienced senior designer with a comprehensive understanding of design, construction detailing and all documentation requirements including landscape documentation in REVIT.
Through significant experience within both Newforms and other organisations and a background in graphic design, Matthew has developed a critical eye for detail and a strong understanding of the importance of high quality design and documentation. Matthew has experience in the design and documentation of a diverse range of projects including civic, commercial, industrial, multi-residential and high end residential projects.
Having been involved in a wide range of creative disciplines, Matthew has honed his ability to deal with the needs and expectations of clients through a variety of projects. His key strength lies in concept development and the ability to visualise and translate a concept for the successful execution of a project.
